Your chance to shape the new Thames Estuary 2100 Plan

Have your say on the future of the Thames.

The EA are holding a consultation to provide an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the updated Thames Estuary 2100 Plan and have their say on the future of the riverside.

The Plan sets out how we can work together to adapt to rising sea levels and manage tidal flood risk. The Thames provides a much-loved open space through London and the estuary, but as the climate emergency progresses, sea levels could rise by over a metre and the risk of tidal flooding increases.
The Thames Estuary 2100 Plan aims to manage tidal flood risk, while offering opportunities to plan for the future of the riverside, and to deliver more for local communities, businesses and the environment. No single organisation working alone is able to respond to the challenge of adapting to rising sea levels, but by working together now, we can ensure defences are adapted for the future.
This consultation is the chance to have your say on how to enhance the riverside environment while increasing resilience to tidal flooding. The EA want to hear from you, and encourage everyone with an interest in the river to contribute: click here. This consultation closes on the20th November 2022.
