We’re Hiring: Activity Plan and Engagement Manager

Join us in supporting the recovery of the critically endangered European eel across the Thames Basin.

The Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) is a multi-partner, catchment-scale initiative bringing together a consortium of environmental and community-focused organisations to deliver conservation, engagement and education activity across the Thames Basin. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project is currently in its Development Phase, designing a high-quality Delivery Phase programme running from 2027 to 2030.

This is a strategic, coordination-focused role at the heart of that work. The successful candidate will lead the development of the TCCEP Activity Plan and Volunteer Engagement Plan as part of the NLHF Delivery Phase application. Working alongside partner organisations, the role involves shaping how communities, volunteers and schools engage with rivers and wildlife across the region.

We’re looking for someone with experience in developing strategic plans for funders, coordinating multi-partner projects, and leading engagement or education programmes. Familiarity with NLHF projects and the environmental or heritage sector would be an advantage.
