Twenty companies and 50+ volunteers have this week come together for the first Thames Trade Clean Up organised by the amazing John Harris at MDL Marinas and supported by us at Thames Rivers Trust, the Environment Agency and Swan Lifeline. 

The enthusiastic marinas, yacht clubs and suppliers wanted to make the river a better place and decided to do something about it, we were delighted to join in and show our support for this excellent initiative, that has made an instant improvement to the river environment.

Our Senior Partnership Officer Sara, donned a life jacket and along with everyone taking part made sure a huge amount of clearing up, removing items of all sizes that would otherwise pollute the river or cause issues for people was removed, sorted and disposed off.
