An Epic First Thames Trade Clean Up
Working together for a healthier Thames.
Twenty companies – marinas, yacht clubs and suppliers with 50+ volunteers have this week carried out the first Thames Trade Clean Up, organised by the amazing John at MDL Marinas and supported by us at Thames Rivers Trust, the Environment Agency and Swan Lifeline.
A huge amount of clearing up, removing and sorting of items of all sizes for disposal was carried out. The rubbish would otherwise pollute the river and can cause issues for boaters and the wider community. Well done to all involved.
Our Senior Partnership Officer Sara mucked in and can’t wait to get out again! Thames Rivers Trust is proud to support this practical initiative that makes an immediate improvement to the river environment.
